It’s nothing short of evil when people justify immorality with that claim. In terms of our sinful (apart-from-Christ) nature, you could also argue the “animal” qualities for both genders. Humanity is, in this sense, also “selfish by nature,” “dishonest by nature.”
It is, however, this fallen nature that Jesus’ disciples transcend. The “new creation” we become, is no longer defined by these traits.
Fidelity is not only possible, it is normative, healthy, and God-honoring.
