I wholeheartedly support the Air Canada flight attendants, believing they are entitled to better compensation. I also encourage those in contract negotiations to advocate for their rights. The recent rejection of an offer from my airline is understandable. The demand for ground pay, considering the additional responsibilities performed, is a fair request. The current situation, with extended duty days and inadequate pay, is unsustainable. The proposed 38% increase over a four-year contract seems insufficient, especially considering the decade-long duration of the previous contract. I believe that the flight attendants deserve better, and this strike appears to be a necessary course of action.
